CNCA Nepali School is for Children of Nepalese origin ages between 5 and 18. Objective of this School is to teach children to read, write and speak Nepalese language. Children also taught about Nepal and Nepalese culture. This School was started in June 2007.
CNCA Nepali School is a member of the Southern Alberta Heritage Language Association (SAHLA), a non-profit umbrella organization whose mission is to lead, advocate and provide resources for the promotion of international/heritage languages and cultural education.
CNCA Nepali School calendar follows the regular school calendar from June to September. School is closed during July and August.
Classes are held every Sunday from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm except the long weekend. Please refer to the school calendar for school closure dates. School year ending program is held on the last day of School in June.
CNCA Nepali School offers three levels of programs. Students will move to next level as they graduate from their normal school grade for that level.
Level 1 – Kindergarten to Grade 3
Level 2 – Grade 4 to 6
Level 3 – Grade 7 to 12
Student annual fee is $20.00 for CNCA members and $40.00 for others. Student registration is open throughout the school year.

School is run by Parent Volunteers. School falls under the port folio of CNCA Director of Children, Youth and Parental Education and Awareness, Mr. Rishi Bastakoti.

In addition, there are number of Parent Volunteers providing rides to the children, conducting one on one reading in the class and helping setup, arrange special snacks and clean up the class rooms.
CNCA Nepali School Mobile Library has over 100 children fictions and text books. These books are donated by various CNCA members. Students can borrow any number of books from this library. CNCA Library listing provides books available in this library. This mobile library is open during school days and hours.

Volunteer spirit of CNCA is fully utilized to run the School. There are many opportunities for volunteering in this school. As student graduate from School, new parent volunteers are needed to continue the school program each year. School needs new class room teacher volunteers this school year. Parents requested to volunteer in one of the following volunteering opportunities:
Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something. Together we can make the school successful and help our children learn to read, write and speak Nepali and learn about Nepal.
