CNCA News:

  • CNCA, in the spirit of X-mas and New Year 2010, donated $500 to the Calgary Herald Christmas Fund and $200 to the Mustard Seed Street Ministry (http://www.theseed.ca/). The Calgary Herald Fund will be used to support 14 charities.  Acknowledgment to CNCA donation was made in the daily’s new year 2010 edition. The Mustard Seed is a non-profit Christian humanitarian organization that has been caring for Calgary's homeless for over 24 years. Calgary Herald Cutout:

  • CNCA has raised $735.00 for Shushila Care and Service Center, http://www.shushilacare.org.np which was established and founded by CNCA member Mr. Bhuwan Parajuli since 2003 that currently supports 12 orphans.
  • CNCA raised an additional $550 for the orphanage, through CNCA member’s donations.”
  • CNCA received matching fund for member donations from Alberta Government's Community Spirit Donation Grant Program 2009. This amount was $1610.00. The goal of the Community Spirit Program is to increase individual charitable giving to help support Alberta's non-profit and charitable organizations.The program is donor-driven, meaning it recognizes and encourages Albertans to support their favourite organizations. Monies received from Albertans stay in Alberta to support Alberta-based non-profit and charitable organizations.CNCA expresses gratitude for this support from the Government of Alberta as well as all the individual community member donors.
