Fundraiser Benefiting Nepal – Global Familymed Foundation

Dear Calgary Nepalese Community Association,
I wanted to reach out since we are holding a fundraising event soon that greatly benefits our partners in Nepal. We are Global Familymed Foundation and we work with Universities overseas around Family Medicine training. I had been working last year at Patan Academy of Health Sciences medical school and hospital around GP training, and was actually there during the earthquake and watched the hospital’s incredible response.
We were able to fundraise considerably for PAHS after this, since I was on multiple national TV and radio spots.
You can learn more about our partnerships, including those in Nepal, here:

We’re going to host a very family-friendly Fun Run and Walk on May 15th starting at Glenmore Sailling Club. Children’s activities will include face-painting (mostly by medical students!) and story centers. It is also a 5km run for those keen to get a work-out.
Information about the race is
and to register
We appreciate if people raise money by getting sponsored too, but that is not expected.

We are interested in participating runners for the event but also volunteers if anyone wishes.
We hold a number of fundraising events through the year, including summer concerts at my house, if people wish to sign up for our newsletter.

Thank you for your consideration of collaboration,
